At Back Home Butchery, we set out to find truly pasture-raised chicken here in Colorado—and quickly realized how rare it is. Between outdated poultry regulations and Colorado’s short growing season, raising birds the right way takes real intention, time, and the right partners.

That’s why we decided to do it ourselves.

Working alongside trusted Colorado farmers, we’re raising healthy, humanely cared-for chickens about an hour outside of Denver—on open pasture, with a focus on animal welfare, quality feed, and exceptional flavor. This is chicken the way it’s meant to be: clean, nutrient-dense, and raised with integrity from start to finish.

To launch, we’re introducing our Chicken Club—a simple way to reserve pasture-raised chicken before it sells out.

Our chickens will be available:

  • At the Cherry Creek Farmers Market
  • In our Denver butcher shop
  • Via in-state shipping across Colorado

We’ll offer:

  • Whole chickens
  • Individual cuts (breasts, thighs, wings, etc.)
  • Seasonal, limited batches based on availability
